Gray Wolf is a simple yet powerful theme for Wordpress.
It supports gravatar, wp page navi and widgets. And it’s valid xhtml 1.0 strict

You can leave your feedback here.
Update 1:
I changed the way the look of the title. And I also added a description to the top of the theme. Besides that I have centered the menu. Also fixed some minor issues with the colours of the theme.
Update 2:
I had to remove widgets support for the theme because it didn’t work well together with page nav. I will be dropping page nav support in the next release of the theme. But it will have widgets support in return.
Update 3:
Instead of page nav it now has the standard browsing features of Wordpress. Just use the download link above to download the widget friendly version.
Please leave a comment if you have any problems with the Gray Wolf theme. I’m looking forward to fix it. This way we can improve the user experience for you and your visitors.

How i can insert widget plugin in the theme?
(sorry my bad english)
February 8th, 2007 at 10:12 am
I removed the widget support because of some technical problems. I will add a widget friendly version here on Amsterdamn. But I will have to remove the page nav plugin. I guess that won’t be a problem. My advice is to wait a couple of days and come back here to download the widget friendly version.

Is it possible to enable the use of excerpt? If so, how should I do this?
February 8th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
Marcel:
Open index.php
Find:
< ?php the_content('Read the rest of this entry ...'); ?>
Replace with:
< ?php the_excerpt('Read the rest of this entry ...'); ?>
This will show the first 55 characters of your post.
You can also take a look at the following:

Hello,
Here I am again to use one of your themes.
I figure out that this theme was not compatible with 800×600, it give me a button bar that I need to scroll left or right (like this blog).
How can I make it 800×600 compatible and how can I make it to DO NOT show the grey space in both sides? I mean, I want all tables or whatever this use (I dont download it yet) 100% and not specific with pixels.
Thanks,
Rui
PS: this is a litle urgent, I need this ready in 14/02.

Hi Rui,
I’m sorry but 800×600 is not fully supported anymore. The standard today is 1024×768 pixels and more. Therefore I can’t make a specific solution for your needs. Maybe that you can try one of our other themes that do support 800×600.
February 11th, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Hi Andiz. For this website type, 800×600 will be needed.
Can you list all your themes that support 800×600? I really like your “style” and if you have a theme that fit on my needs, better. ;)

Rui you could try one of these Wordpress themes:
http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/1-column/1494/pinky/
http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/1-column/1367/knicks/
http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/1-column/1333/elwood/

http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/2-columns/391/leone/
http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/2-columns/617/regency/
I can’t promise you that they will be suitable for 800×600, but you can give it a try

Andiz,
I really love this theme…rarely do you find people who understand and can execute the idea of beauty through simplicity. You nailed it!
So, as I am setting up my site, I am finding one little nagging issue that I have thus far not been able to solve. In the sidebar, in the About Section, I want to use an image, but the image gets squashed to 200px wide by 78px high. I find in the CSS where this is set, but have been unable to fix it without seriously screwing up the sidebar. Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers, and keep up the great work!
Jim

Hi Jim,
Thank you for the compliment!
Follow my advice and you will be able to fix this minor problem that you are having with the theme.
1. Download the updated version of the Gray Wolf theme:
http://themes.wordpress.net/download.php?theme=1522
2. Open sidebar. php and take a look at the following preview.
http://www.amsterdamn.org/wordpress-theme-download-edit.jpg
Type over the selected part :)
3. Make sure that that the ul and dynamic sidebar code are intact.
4. Here’s a preview of how your Wordpress theme will look:
You won’t have to edit and play around with the CSS. This is an easy solution for your problem.
Ofcourse there are other ways to fix this. If you need help: feel free to leave a comment!

Hi. Very much like the theme, however there seems to be a problem with images anywhere in the sidebar, not only the About section. They get stretched to 200×78px, which is not too nice. I read about the solution for ‘About’ section, does it also apply here or is there another way around? Thanks.
