Wordpress Brownish is a new theme for Wordpress. The theme has a brown look to it. It includes 3 sidebars - two on the right and one at the bottom. It’s perfect for everyone who wants a dark look to their weblog.
And it’s ofcourse valid xhtml + css!
The theme is inspired by the movie Little Miss Sunshine.

Here is a film that lives up to the expectations of a very funny trailer. It’s an oddball comedy, and it’s dark, and it’s funny, and it’s touching, and it will charm the pants off many in the audience. Here is a simple story in which our lovely contestant and her family try to find their way to California so that she can prove to the world she is not a loser! The premise itself can lead to years of therapy for a family that should get a group rate in psychiatric care.
Expert editing and superb comedic performances from all the principals involved will have many overlook the fact that the plot line is a little too contrived at times. The set pieces will have the audience howling with laughter as we see different characters trying to overcome some pretty irreverent obstacles. The scene at the gas station contains moments of deep sadness and offbeat humor, something that Carrell pulls off wonderfully, and none will be able to look at the trunk of a car, some dubious literary material, and highway patrol the same way after seeing the infamous scene in the film.
The best is of course, saved for last, and by this time we are waiting for something outrageous which “Little Miss Sunshine” delivers unapologetically. A classic track will probably be recharged for a new generation, as the bonds of family precariously balance a moment that could be as tacky as they come.
“Sunshine” is one of the best things to come out of American cinema this year, an original film that relies on a script that understands the differences between generations in the same family. It doesn’t explain why each character is as quirky as can be, and it doesn’t build much background because it is not needed to make the film work. Kinnear, Colette, Abigail, Arkin, and Correll are a fine team and keep the film’s feel fresh throughout the film. Here is a family that has no special qualities or powers, a family that will make us rejoice that creativity is still alive in Hollywood, a film that will provide us with plenty of much needed sunshine in an otherwise pretty dull summer
If you haven’t seen the movie: go and see it! I can recommend it to everyone.
Today is a day of glory, my friends. I’ve just uploaded my newest theme ‘Wordpress Whize‘. And who would have guessed : The theme is number 2000 in the themeviewer galore. This calls for celebration, roll out the red carpet!
We, the designers, have managed to create 2000 themes in about 10 months. That’s a whopping 200 themes per month. As far as i can see Wordpress is going strong. Our little empire is growing and we’ve come a long way since May the 2nd 2006. Wordpress is flourishing, as well as the Wordpress community of users and designers.

Today is a day of change. Daylight Savings Time has begun, and we all know what that means : The summer is coming. The following months will be all about innovations and transitions for Amsterdamn.org and myself. And if you ask me, this asks for a new theme. So without further adue , I’m proud to present Amsterdamn Version 3.
I will also try to invest more time in writing, i seem to have neglected that aspect ( of the website ). last year it was all about the releases, this year, however, i will try to write more about things concerning wordpess for example and other things that tickle my fancy.

This is a new Wordpress theme by me. I have been working on this theme the last few weeks. And it’s a bit different than the other themes that I did. I tried to use a new style for my theme. I hope you like it.
Let me know how it looks! I’m a bit afraid that it doesn’t look that great at smaller resolutions.

This theme has a real web 2.0 look to it. You could use it for you tech blog that uses Wordpress.
Rather simple design, but if that’s what you are looking for then it rocks.

While we’re at it: I’m currently busy with a new design for Amsterdamn. The current look and feel doesn’t do it for me anymore. Stay tuned for the third version of Amsterdamn.
I will be plugging other Wordpress theme creators as of today. Thanks to the new users on the themes.wordpress.net website there has been a huge amount of new themes. This is a good development for the community. But it also has some cons. The “good” themes don’t get noticed anymore because they are on page 2 after ~12 hours. I will take a look at the themes and give you a quick overview which themes are worth using. If you are willing to help me with creating the list: leave a comment.

Wordpress Green is a new theme by Amsterdamn for weblogs that are using Wordpress. We have been working on the theme for a couple of weeks now and this is the final result. If you find an error or something like that: please let us know. Basically it’s a very sleek theme for Wordpress. It supports widgets, gravatars. And it’s ofcourse xhtml & css valid!

We’ve got a new bugfix and security release for both of our actively maintained branches of WordPress. Version 2.1.1 includes about 30 bug fixes, mostly minor things around encoding, XML-RPC, the object cache, and HTML code. It’s available for immediate download on our download page.
Version 2.0.9 only includes the security update, which was around the code we use to prevent XSS. You can download it from our release archive. As a reminder, we’ve committed to proving security updates to 2.0 through 2010, but all new features and development are going into the newer branch, which is at this time 2.1.
This is a low-to-medium priority update recommended for all WordPress users. After the break is a list of changed files.
